Euroconsumers and Football Supporters Europe (FSE) have lodged a formal complaint with the European Commission against FIFA, alleging the organization has exploited its monopoly on ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup by imposing excessive prices and unfair purchasing conditions. The price for the cheapest final ticket is now $4,185, significantly higher than previous tournaments. FSE highlighted that the average ticket price projected by FIFA was $1,408, far below current costs.
