Minnesota has dismissed women’s hockey coach Brad Frost after 19 seasons, following a quarterfinal loss to Northeastern in the NCAA tournament. Despite a successful tenure that included four national championships, the program has struggled recently, with no titles since 2016. Athletic director Mark Coyle cited the need for the team to contend at the highest level as a primary reason for the decision. Frost’s contract was extended last year, and he had a record of 554-133-43.
