A senior member of the Iran-backed Iraqi militia Kataib Hezbollah, Haj Abu Ali al-Askari, has been confirmed dead. He was known for his vocal opposition to the US and Israel and played a significant role in conveying the group’s messages during conflicts. Following his death, rockets were launched toward the US Embassy in Baghdad, indicating escalating tensions. Abu Mujahid al-Assaf has been appointed as the new spokesperson for the militia.
