Two Indian ships transit Strait of Hormuz with Iran’s approval

Iran’s ambassador to India announced that Tehran has permitted some Indian vessels to transit the Strait of Hormuz, an exception amid a broader blockade impacting global energy supplies. Two Indian-flagged tankers carrying liquefied petroleum gas have successfully crossed the strait, addressing a critical cooking gas shortage in India. Tehran has halted much of the maritime traffic following attacks by the U.S. and Israel, asserting it will not allow supplies for their allies to leave the strait.
