One of the leading Republican candidates for governor in Georgia, Rick Jackson, has claimed he would be Donald Trump’s “favorite governor,” while seeking the president’s endorsement. However, Federal Election Commission records show that Jackson has financially supported several of Trump’s rivals, including Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy, during the current presidential race. Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, the Trump-endorsed front-runner, has been critical of Jackson’s loyalty to the former president.
