The UN Security Council has adopted a draft resolution condemning Iran’s attacks on Gulf nations and Jordan, demanding an immediate cessation of hostilities. The resolution received overwhelming support, with 13 out of 15 members voting in favor, and was co-sponsored by 135 additional countries. Iran’s UN ambassador expressed profound regret over the resolution, labeling it a misuse of the Security Council’s mandate and accusing the US and Israel of instigating the conflict.
