UK court denies request to reinstate terrorism charge against Kneecap rapper

Liam O’Hanna, a member of the Irish rap group Kneecap, has welcomed a High Court ruling that dismissed a terrorism charge against him for displaying a Hezbollah flag at a concert in London. The court rejected prosecutors’ appeal to reinstate the charge, which had been previously dropped due to a technicality. O’Hanna stated the case was never about public safety or terrorism, but rather about voicing support for Palestine and criticizing British government actions.
