Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo set a new world half-marathon record on Sunday, finishing in 57 minutes and 20 seconds in Lisbon, surpassing the previous record by 10 seconds. Kiplimo, a three-time world cross-country champion, had previously held the record with a time of 57:31 on the same course in 2021. Kenya’s Nicholas Kipkorir finished second in 58:08, while Gilbert Kiprotich placed third in 58:59.
