Her mother shared on Facebook that Maya had her breathing tube removed and is making strides in her healing process following emergency surgery for gunshot wounds to her head and neck. Her father noted improvements in her mobility, with her left eye responding to light and movements in her limbs, as the family takes her recovery day by day.
