The Trump administration has expanded its prosecution of protesters involved in a church demonstration in Minnesota to 39 people, up from nine. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the indictment, warning against attacks on houses of worship. The protest was a response to Trump’s immigration surge in the state, with some defendants denying involvement and claiming they were there as journalists. The protest, dubbed “Operation Pullup”, took place at Cities Church in St Paul, and some protesters are prepared to fight the charges citing their First Amendment rights.
