Emma Roberts will star in and executive produce a TV series reimagining the 2009 film Bride Wars. Set in North Carolina, the series follows a big-city wedding planner whose arrival in a small town ignites a rivalry with a local planner as they both compete to plan the same wedding. The original film featured Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway as friends whose weddings are accidentally scheduled for the same day. Roberts is also currently working on the film Hal and producing the Hulu series Tell Me Lies.
