Maduro requests dismissal of indictment from judge

An attorney for Nicolás Maduro, the deposed Venezuelan leader, has requested a federal judge to dismiss the indictment against him, stating that U.S. government actions are hindering access to funds necessary for his legal defense. The indictment includes serious charges such as conspiracy to import cocaine and narco-terrorism. Maduro’s lawyer argued that without the financial support from the Venezuelan government, his ability to adequately defend Maduro is compromised.
