Denmark will hold a parliamentary election on March 24, as Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen seeks to leverage growing public support following her opposition to former President Donald Trump’s proposal to acquire Greenland for “national security.” The election will determine the composition of the Folketing, Denmark’s national parliament, which includes 179 seats. Frederiksen, a centre-left Social Democrat, has been in office since 2019 and leads a coalition government.
