Albany’s Old Convict Gaol has launched a landmark exhibition to celebrate the city’s bicentenary, showcasing previously unseen artworks that highlight the artistic legacy of Albany/Kinjarling. Featuring diverse styles like watercolours and illustrations, the exhibition reflects 200 years of local art and includes contributions from notable artists such as the Batelier Brothers and Brenda Holland. Albany Historical Society’s Andrew Eyden emphasized the national significance of these works, asserting their importance to the community’s history.
