Virtual Reality Program Offers Refuge for Children in Gaza City
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

In Gaza City, seven-year-old Razan participates in therapy using virtual reality (VR) to help her recover from severe injuries sustained during an airstrike that left her leg misshapen and caused significant trauma. Despite ongoing nightmares and mental health challenges, Razan’s condition is gradually improving with support from therapists. Two brothers, Ahmad and Amjad, also injured in the conflict, find solace in VR sessions, which transport them from their war-torn reality to serene environments. The initiative, run by TechMed Gaza, aims to address the psychological impact of war on children, but many still face obstacles in accessing necessary medical treatment outside Gaza.
