Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy conducted the “Smart Control” drills in the Strait of Hormuz, testing the Sayyad-3G air defense missile for the first time. Footage from the drills showed the missile being launched from the vessel Shahid Sayyad Shirazi. The Sayyad-3G, with a vertical launch capability and a range of 150 kilometers, aims to provide a regional air defense umbrella for specific military vessels. These drills began on February 16 and lasted three days.
