Premier David Eby assured at a vigil that students would not return to the site of the shooting, while discussions about the future of the old school continue. The shooter, identified as 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar, was found dead at the school from a self-inflicted wound. The B.C. Independent Investigations Office is also assessing whether to investigate police actions during the incident.
