The United States supports European findings that Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny was poisoned with a rare frog toxin, while the UK considers new sanctions against Moscow. Secretary of State Marco Rubio calls the report “very troubling”, but Washington will not dispute it. The UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden accuse Russia of Navalny’s death, increasing pressure on the Kremlin and hinting at further Western action.
