Jocelyne Larocque, a 37-year-old Métis athlete from Ste. Anne, Manitoba, is the most decorated Indigenous athlete in Canadian history, competing in her fourth Winter Olympics. She first made history at the Sochi 2014 Games as the first Indigenous woman to play hockey and win a gold medal. Growing up with dreams of playing in the NHL, she now plays for the Ottawa Charge in the Professional Women’s Hockey League. Larocque aims to add a third Olympic gold medal to her achievements after winning in Beijing 2022.
