Liberal MP Bruce Fanjoy Opposes Government’s Return-to-Office Order
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Bruce Fanjoy, the Liberal MP for Carleton, has publicly criticized the federal government’s new return-to-office (RTO) mandate, which requires public servants to work four days a week starting in July. He argues that the policy lacks evidence of improving productivity and will incur higher costs, increase pollution, and complicate work-life balance for employees. This decision has also faced backlash from public sector unions, with PSAC president Sharon DeSousa calling it a “slap in the face” to federal workers. Fanjoy hopes for more flexibility in work arrangements as the government implements this plan.
