Rafah border crossing reopens for limited travel between Gaza and Egypt
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt reopened on Sunday after a two-day closure, allowing limited travel for Palestinians, primarily for medical treatment. Over the first four days of its reopening, only 36 medical patients and their companions have been allowed to cross. Amidst ongoing discussions in Washington regarding Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is expected to travel there this week. Palestinian officials report that nearly 20,000 individuals in Gaza seek to leave for medical care not available locally, facing significant delays and complications at the crossing.
