P.E.I. PCs choose Rob Lantz as leader

Rob Lantz has been elected leader of the P.E.I. Progressive Conservatives, securing 2,889 votes against Mark Ledwell’s 2,542 at the party convention in Charlottetown. Lantz, who previously served as interim premier, emphasized that the leadership contest has energized the party and pledged to prioritize energy reforms and legislative changes. He hinted at the possibility of a provincial election this spring but noted it is not necessary. Lantz plans to be sworn in on Monday and will take time with family to watch the Super Bowl.
