An Australian man has been charged with over 500 child abuse-related offences after a police investigation uncovered 23,000 videos and images linked to 459 victims as young as seven. The suspect, aged 27, allegedly targeted children on social media and gaming platforms both in Australia and overseas between 2018 and 2025. The investigation, known as Operation Xray Wick, has identified 259 children so far, with international partners involved in supporting the victims. The man, facing charges including producing child abuse material and engaging in sexual activity with a child, is due to appear before Brisbane Magistrates’ Court.
