Hari Budha Magar’s Inspiring Journey
At 46, Hari Budha Magar, a former Gurkha soldier, became the first double above-knee amputee to complete the Seven Summits challenge, climbing the highest peaks on every continent using specially designed prosthetic legs. His journey began after losing his legs in a 2010 IED explosion in Afghanistan, which led to PTSD and a struggle for confidence. Overcoming personal and physical challenges, he summited Mount Everest in 2023 and completed his final ascent on Mount Vinson in January 2026, symbolizing resilience and inspiration for others with disabilities.
