Development of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4 has been paused, as confirmed by Take-Two spokesperson Alan Lewis. The decision aims to prioritize post-launch content and game optimization, while further collaborations with Nintendo are ongoing. Initially announced during a Switch 2 Direct in April, the game’s release was set for October 3 but was delayed shortly before launch. Take-Two’s Q3 FY 2026 earnings report also mentioned future titles, including Grand Theft Auto VI slated for November 19, 2026.
