Three Mongrel Mob Members Admit to False Statements in Fox Case

Three members of the Mongrel Mob were transporting their seriously injured associate, Zain Taikato Fox, to Rotorua Hospital when they devised a plan to mislead police by claiming he was struck by a car. They have since admitted to lying and pleaded guilty to attempting to pervert the course of justice regarding the investigation into Fox’s death. The incident occurred on July 26 last year in Maketū, allegedly during an internal gang dispute.
