U.S. District Judge Katherine Menendez acknowledged the operation’s severe impact on local communities but emphasized the legal precedent that restricts blocking federal enforcement of immigration laws. She found that Minnesota’s arguments against the operation, which they claimed violated the Tenth Amendment, were insufficient to warrant an injunction. The Minnesota Attorney General’s office has not yet commented on the ruling.
