Brazil’s President Lula criticises US actions in Venezuela, calling the capture of Maduro an unacceptable line against regional stability.
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva condemned the US abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, labeling it an “unacceptable line” that threatens regional stability. In a recent phone call with US President Donald Trump, Lula emphasized the need for peace in Venezuela and discussed Trump’s proposed “Board of Peace” for Gaza, requesting its scope be limited. Lula’s visit to Washington is set to follow his trips to India and South Korea in February, amid improving ties between Brazil and the US.
