Apple customers are receiving direct deposits labeled “Lopez Voice Assistant” as part of a $95 million settlement related to a lawsuit claiming Siri eavesdropped on private conversations. Payments, which range from $8 to $40 depending on the number of eligible devices, follow a claim process conducted from May to July. The lawsuit, initiated by Fumiko Lopez and others, alleged that Siri shared conversations with third parties for targeted advertising, which Apple denied. Eligible Siri-enabled devices included iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks.
