California’s Karman Industries has created a cooling system for data centers using SpaceX rocket technology, significantly reducing environmental impact by using less space, power, and no water. This innovative system employs liquid carbon dioxide and a high-speed compressor spinning at 30,000 RPM, cutting cooling equipment space by 80% and energy consumption by over 50%. The company recently raised $20 million and plans to manufacture its first compressors in Long Beach later this year.
