Iranian merchants currently have only 20 minutes of daily internet access for international operations, as reported by Iran International. Majidreza Hariri, president of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce, described this limited access as inadequate for business needs. The ongoing internet blackout since January 8 has caused estimated economic losses of $18 million to $27 million daily, amidst severe crackdowns on protests that have reportedly resulted in thousands of deaths. Despite promises of restoring internet services, the blackout continues to significantly impact the country.
