Navy apologizes to personnel removed over COVID vaccine mandate

The Department of the Navy issued an apology to former military personnel unjustly discharged due to the COVID vaccine mandate during the Biden administration. Under Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao emphasized a commitment to correct past wrongs and welcome back those affected, acknowledging the significant impact of the mandate. President Trump signed an executive order directing the reinstatement process for discharged service members. Over 8,000 were separated under the mandate, with many receiving less than honorable discharges.
