Jackson, Miss. — Animal advocates are urgently working to rescue over 200 dogs from a neglected property in Tupelo, Mississippi, before an impending winter storm. Paws of War, a New York-based nonprofit, is leading the effort, describing the site as a “house of horrors” with evidence of severe neglect. As of Thursday, around 60 dogs have been taken in by nine shelters, with Paws of War transporting 45 dogs to New York. The organization is seeking additional shelter partners and donations to assist in the rescue and care of the remaining dogs.
