Giants’ Jung Hoo Lee Detained by Immigration at LAX

San Francisco Giants outfielder Jung Hoo Lee was briefly detained at Los Angeles International Airport due to missing travel documents. The 27-year-old, who recently signed a six-year, $113 million contract with the Giants, was released after the issue was resolved with authorities. Lee, a celebrated player from the KBO League, has represented South Korea in international tournaments and is expected to play in the upcoming 2026 World Baseball Classic. The Giants are set to begin Spring Training in February 2026, with their regular season opener on March 25 against the New York Yankees.
