Rescuer Lures Injured Bald Eagle from B.C. Dump

Ed Butler rescued a juvenile bald eagle trapped in a fishing net at the Nimpo Lake dump in B.C. by enticing it with a frozen lasagna. Despite initial challenges in capturing the bird, he called the SPCA, which successfully helped him contain the eagle. Named “Freedom,” the bird is now recovering at the Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society. Butler emphasizes the importance of proper disposal of fishing nets to protect wildlife.
