Christopher Luxon to Highlight New Zealand Progress Amid Global Issues

The Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon, aims to shift New Zealanders’ focus from international turmoil to domestic progress in law and order, education, and reducing bureaucracy in his State of the Nation address. While the election date is expected to be announced at the National caucus retreat on Wednesday, Luxon will likely face questions about New Zealand’s stance on global events, including conflicts involving major trading partners and protests in Iran. Despite releasing a summer playlist, he has not commented on significant foreign affairs, leaving that to Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters.
