A 36-year-old man, Brentley Gregory Jones, was sentenced to one year and one month in jail for a dangerous high-speed police pursuit in Spalding, having nine prior convictions for driving without a license. He reached speeds over 100km/h in a 50km/h zone, leading police to abort the chase for safety. In a separate case, 21-year-old Abraham Slater was also sentenced to one year in prison for reckless driving and a blood alcohol reading above 0.05 during a similar pursuit. Both men received parole eligibility after serving half their terms.
