US military targets Islamic State in Syria

The US and partner forces executed extensive strikes against Islamic State (IS) targets in Syria, ordered by President Trump as part of Operation Hawkeye Strike, in retaliation for a deadly IS attack on US troops. Over 90 precision munitions were deployed on more than 35 targets using various aircraft. This military action aims to combat terrorism and safeguard US forces, reiterating a commitment to pursue justice for any harm done. The operation follows previous missions that resulted in the capture or death of nearly 25 IS members.
