Seven police officers were killed in a targeted bomb blast in Pakistan’s Tank district, as the country faces increasing militancy. The remote-controlled explosion overturned their armored vehicle, killing five officers instantly and two later in the hospital. The region has seen a resurgence of violence, primarily attributed to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, with Pakistan blaming the Afghan Taliban for providing safe havens to these militants.
