A Nova Scotia man, Tyler Strong, was sentenced to 4½ years in prison for T-boning another vehicle at over twice the speed limit, resulting in the deaths of three people, including a two-month-old infant. He was also given a five-year driving ban and a ten-year firearms prohibition after pleading guilty to multiple counts of dangerous driving. Despite a troubled upbringing and a demonstrated desire for rehabilitation, the crash left lasting emotional scars on the victims’ families. The court acknowledged the profound impact of his actions on the survivors, particularly one who lost her mother, partner, and child in the incident.
