The Bail Project calls family of repeat offender
The Bail Project paid bail for Donnie Allen, who was warned by his family not to be released. Days later, he allegedly murdered Benjamin McComas. The organization has faced criticism for bailing out multiple defendants who later committed murder, including Travis Lang and Samuel Lee Scott, both of whom were charged with killing individuals shortly after their release. Despite its mission to reunite families, the Bail Project’s actions have raised concerns over public safety.
