Phoenix Spicer, former North Melbourne AFL player, dies at 23

Former AFL player Phoenix Spicer has tragically passed away at the age of 23, remembered by his family as a “beautiful, loyal and strong” Nunggubuyu man. His death was announced by his partner’s sister, following his sudden passing on Friday night. Spicer was drafted by North Melbourne in 2020 and played 12 AFL games before being delisted in 2023, subsequently playing for Darwin and Footscray. Tributes have poured in from the football community, honoring his memory.
