An Idaho company, Mountain West Food Group, is recalling 2,855 pounds of ground beef across six states due to potential E. coli contamination. The affected product, labeled “Forward Farms” and packaged in 16-oz vacuum-sealed bags, has a use or freeze by date of 01/13/26 and “EST 2083” on the packaging. The recall follows routine testing that detected E. coli O26, a strain linked to severe gastrointestinal illness. No illnesses have been reported, but consumers are advised to dispose of or return the product.
