A recent survey by Research Co. reveals that 67% of Canadians prefer to say “Merry Christmas” over “Happy Holidays,” a five-point increase from 2024. Despite this preference, many anticipate a stressful season, with 52% expecting more stress and only 30% looking forward to fun. Regional variations exist, with Atlantic Canadians (77%) and Albertans (72%) most in favor of the traditional greeting, while Quebec shows the least support at 59%. The poll, conducted from December 9-7, has a margin of error of ±3.1%.
