Syrian army and SDF agree to ceasefire in Aleppo

During Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan’s visit to Syria, clashes in Aleppo resulted in the deaths of at least two civilians. Following the violence, Syrian government forces and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces agreed to cease hostilities in the city. Fidan criticized the SDF for not integrating into the state’s armed forces as promised. The SDF later announced that they would stop responding to attacks by Syrian government forces to de-escalate the situation.
