Jim Beam bourbon whiskey plans to pause production at its main distillery in Kentucky starting Jan. 1 for site enhancements, while continuing to distill at other facilities. This decision comes amidst challenges in the industry, including a decline in alcohol consumption among Americans and a drop in U.S. spirits exports due to tariffs. Whiskey distillers have produced 55 million fewer proof gallons this year, a 28% decline from last year.
