Jess Michaels, the earliest known survivor of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse, criticized the U.S. Department of Justice for failing to release complete files related to Epstein, asserting a “wilful blindness” regarding the young victims around him. In 1991, she was raped by Epstein and later suffered severe anxiety and health issues. Almost 35 years later, she continues to demand justice and accountability, noting the FBI’s negligence in handling her case. Epstein died in prison in 2019, having faced limited prosecution for his crimes against young girls.
