Elysee Palace worker to stand trial for theft

France’s presidential silverware keeper and two others are facing trial for the suspected theft of porcelain and tableware worth thousands of euros from the Elysee. Thomas M and Damien G were arrested for theft, while Ghislain M was arrested for receiving stolen goods. Around 100 items were found in Thomas M’s possession, leading to charges of stealing moveable property and handling stolen goods, with the trial postponed to February 26.
