Couple with infant and dogs denied boarding on Flair Airlines
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A couple traveling from British Columbia to Toronto with their infant and two chihuahua mixes were denied boarding by Flair Airlines due to a newly implemented policy stating that a passenger cannot bring both a pet and an infant. Despite booking their flight well in advance, they were not informed of this change, which was later found to conflict with Flair’s published policies. After switching to Air Canada, they successfully flew to Toronto, where they were relieved to celebrate their daughter’s first Christmas without further issues. Advocacy groups suggest the airline may have acted unlawfully and should compensate the couple for their experience.
