Since the conflict began in April 2023 between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Force (RSF), over 234 medical workers have been killed, with more than 507 injured and 59 missing, according to the Sudan Doctors Network. Additionally, 73 medical personnel are detained in Nyala under poor conditions. The group has urged the international community to protect healthcare workers and called for all parties to cease violations and disclose the fates of the missing. The ongoing conflict has resulted in thousands of deaths and millions displaced across Sudan.
